GM Products Overview

Building your GM 4x4

Boasting improved road manners and customer features, especially during normal on-road driving, Quigley Motor Company introduces the TrailMaker, our next generation of 4x4 full size vans.

Independent Front Suspension (IFS)

The new Trailmaker integrates an independent front suspension with its rugged and proven 4 wheel drive system to provide go-anywhere capability of an off-road vehicle for customers who want the room and convenience of a full size van. The new IFS is based on GM's 2500 or higher series full size van and cutaways (8600 lb GVWR Minimum).

Features

Based on the same 4x4 system used on GM's Pick-ups and Suburbans, it features a lower ride height, improved road manners with better ride and handling characteristics and a lower center of gravity. Maintaining the same ride height gives easy driver access and provides the ability to park in standard garages. In addition the IFS, which allows the front wheels to move up and down separately, provides better handling and the ride is infinitely smoother, especially for on-road conditions

Components

The Trailmaker consists of a 4100/4600 lb rated IFS system with GM's front axle disconnect(no hub locks), independent differential, 4 wheel anti lock brakes, GM 2 speed transfer case, 4x4 shift lever indicator light and maintains the original factory fuel capacity. The trailmaker consists of 95% GM parts for ease of service at any service facility.
