Components of a Quigley 4x4 Ford Van

Quigley’s designs for the Ford E-series 4x4 van and Ford Transit 4x4 van differ chiefly in the layout of their front drive axles. The E-series 4x4 uses the solid axle from the F-350 pickup truck, while the Transit 4x4 retains its independent front suspension.  Both use a Magna 2-speed transfer case.

In both the E-series and Transit, the vast majority of components used are Ford components, for ease of service.  The E-Series use the locking hubs, brake pads, brake calipers and rotors are from the Ford F-Series. Using the F-Series brake calipers and rotors requires us to change the E-Series 16-inch tires and wheels to the F-series 17-inchers for clearance.

All of these components are purchased new, direct from Ford or the Ford supplier.

The pitman arm, torque arms, track bar and various mounting brackets are Quigley engineered and designed in accordance with SAE specifications.  Some of these components are built in-house, and some are manufactured to exacting specifications by Quigley-approved vendors.
