4×4 Ford E-Series Cutaway Chassis
Product Overview
Ford E-Series Cutaway Overview
Quigley Motor Company is the only manufacturer authorized under Ford’s Special Vehicle Engineering (SVE) program to install 4×4 systems on both E-Series and Transit vans with fewer than 60,000 miles. This exclusive qualification not only ensures high engineering standards but also grants access to Ford’s Ship-Thru program, significantly reducing shipping costs to dealerships across all 50 states. Importantly, it also helps you retain the factory warranty on all unaltered components of your vehicle—including the engine, transmission, and rear axle—giving you added peace of mind.
The Quigley 4×4 system is engineered for durability and performance, increasing the average ride height of your van by approximately 4 inches. This added clearance improves ground clearance for off-road travel and enhances your driving perspective with a higher field of view—perfect for both commercial applications and overland adventures.
As with any lifted vehicle, converting to 4-wheel drive raises the center of gravity. Drivers should be aware of handling differences and drive accordingly. Full details are provided in the warranty packet regarding operation and safety for higher center-of-gravity vehicles.
Quigley’s 4×4 conversion is also available for the Ford E-Series Cutaway (CAW) chassis, offering the same reliable performance for fleet, utility, and specialty vehicle builds.
Convert Your Used E-Series Chassis
Quigley 4×4 conversions are available for Ford E-Series vehicles from model year 2016 and newer, specifically those equipped with the 6.8L V10 engine or the 7.3L V8 engine.
Whether you’re upgrading an E-350 or E-450 chassis for commercial use, recreational travel, or off-road performance, Quigley’s proven 4×4 system enhances traction, durability, and versatility without compromising the vehicle’s core functionality. Our conversions are engineered to integrate seamlessly with the factory drivetrain and suspension, ensuring long-term reliability and improved off-road capability.

FAQ
Will Quigley keep making Econoline 4x4s?
Although production of E-series vans ceased in model year 2014, Ford continues to produce the E-350 and E-450 cutaways. It has been reported in the press that Ford may continue E-series cutaway and stripped chassis production until as late as the year 2020. Because of this, Quigley expects to continue doing E-series Cutaway conversions on these models.
